Plants in the Classroom

Oh, my word! There are so many wonderful benefits to plants not only in your home but in your classroom. Did you know that some indoor plants can remove up to 87% of air toxins in one day? Also, indoor plants help to regulate humidity. That sounds super, right?

Well, in addition to just making your classroom or home healthy, plants help us! They help us improve concentration, make us more productive, and reduces our stress levels. The green color of the plants alone makes us feel calm, happy, and relaxed. We don’t know about you, but this is the exact energy that we want to bring into our classrooms. Hey, if nothing else, plants add beauty to any space.

We love using succulents like aloe vera and jade plants. Snake plants and spider plants, are also great options. Check out this great article by The Chalkboard about air purifying plants. We are also giving air plants a try this year and we’ll let you know how it goes. Let us know what plants you like to keep in your classroom.
