Humidifiers in the Classroom

So, for the last five years or so, I have been using an essential oil diffuser in my classroom, but I’ve decided to step it up a bit and start using a humidifier instead this school year.

Humidifiers have some pretty great health benefits, such as:

  • Better, more hydrated and plump skin

  • Promotes a healthy skin barrier

  • Reduces the signs of aging

  • Helps to get rid of congestion

  • Great for your sinuses

  • Gets rid of a scratchy throat

  • Lessens the severity of a cold

  • Protects you from bacteria and pollution

  • Easier breathing pathways

  • And great for indoor plants

  • Reduces the spread of viruses indoors

Yes, please to all of that. Humidifiers can be tricky, though. They require a lot of cleaning to make sure mold and mildew don’t take over. It’s just one more thing to have to do at school. No thanks to that option.

Well, I recently found out about Canopy Humidifiers, and they seem to have all the normal humidifier problems figured out. It doesn’t have mist which solves a lot of those bacteria problems and keeps mold from growing. It’s dishwasher safe and easy to clean, plus you can still diffuse essential oils at the same time. You also get a new anti-microbial filter every 6 weeks which helps to clean the water and leave contaminates behind so you are not breathing them in. Bonus, the water also gets cleaned by UV light. Their essential oils also smell so good!

Here is the one that I bought for my middle school classroom. If you want to save $10, feel free to use my code.
