Whether we are teaching remotely or in the classroom, it is important to invite our students to annotate digital readings and transform print readings into digital products.

Here are some website ideas that help students connect to their reading and writing instruction:

Websites for annotated PDFs:

Kam or Edji

Website for annotating and adding interaction to web sites:
Insert Learning

Snapchat for documenting one’s reading experiences:
#BookSnaps

Websites to find high-quality, current resources:
Tween Tribune, Read Works, or Newsela

Website to engage in academic argument and analysis:
AllSides and Kialo EDU

Website to engage in thinking routines:
Harvard Graduate School of Education

We’re sure that you have seen, heard of, or have used these websites in you classroom, but hopefully there was something new on this list that you might be able to utilize in your classroom this year. Leave a comment down below on what are your favorite apps and websites for digital reading

Happy teaching!
