Homemade Coconut Yogurt
Cocoyo
We have learning all sorts of news things around here during quarantine from how to make sourdough to how to make coconut yogurt. Or as the kids like to say, cocoyo.
I tried a few different types of coconut yogurt in the instant pot, but I think this recipe is the easiest and tastiest. I learned it from a blog I follow called The True Spoon. Here’s her recipe.
Here is a list of items that you will need:
mason jar with lid
heavy coconut cream
probiotic culture
a food processor
I also like to make mine with monk fruit and vanilla.
It takes about three days to make and will last in the fridge for up to 8 months, but mine never last that long since I have about a spoonful every morning with breakfast.
Eating fermented foods helps your gut which in turns helps your hair and skin glow because the fermentation process boosts nutrients like B12, folic acid, and biotin. I am all about that glowing skin life.
