The Best Mask for Kids: A Happy Masks Review
If you are still masking like we are, I am sure that you have found the mask that works best for you and your family. It took many, many different styles and brands to find the best fit for our 6-year-old, but we have finally found the one that she likes best and that we know provides the very best protection for her. If you are still on the hunt for the very best mask for your kids, please try out the Happy Mask brand.
Why Happy Masks?
Happy Masks use a nano fiber technology that prevents dust, pollution, bacteria, and virus particles from entering through their filters.
Happy Masks can be washed up to 50 times without loosing their efficacy. When you have a kid wearing these masks, you know that they will need to be washed repeatedly…kids can be downright gross at times. Fifty washes equals about two months of use, that is a pretty great cost-to-wear ratio.
Happy Masks are just as effective as Kn95 masks. While Kn95 masks are meant for single use, maybe double use at best, the Happy Mask can be worn again and again. This is important for those super picky kids (like mine) that find something they like and a style they appreciate. Those daily battles over the mask are a thing of the past. The mask goes on, and there are zero fights about it.
Happy Masks are highly breathable. Air flows easily through their nano-fiber technology. Even when your kiddo has a stuffy nose or is at the tail end of that cold bug that has been going around, they can wear their mask comfortably. The masks protect them, while also protecting others by trapping their germs.
If you have a super picky child like I do, style matters. Happy Masks have the most fun patterns around. They have a pattern for everyone. Like robots? They have a mask for that. Dinosaurs, mermaids, bunnies, hearts, sprinkles, tigers, dragons…Happy Masks have a plethora of fun, child friendly designs, that every kid will love. If your child isn’t into flashy designs, they also have simple masks that are all one color.
These masks are crazy easy to clean!! While the masks do have to be hand washed, it is not as hard as you would think. To wash the mask you soak it in soap and water for ten minutes. Using a toothbrush, you can then scrub any areas that may need a bit more of a deep clean, and then rinse. You then let them air dry and they are ready to use the next day. If the mask can go a day without washing, you can spray it with rubbing alcohol and air dry and it will be ready for the next wear as well. It is that simple!
What Collection is Best For You?
Happy Masks come in two styles. The Pro Series has a more lightweight feel. The big difference is the nose band. It sits squarely on the nose and works best for those kids that like the feel of a more secure fit. The one downside to the Pro style is that if you have a child (like mine) that consistently folds and unfolds their mask in half, the metal nose band will eventually break.
We now use the Ultra Series. These masks are a few dollars more. However, the nose band is a bit lower on the mask and there is a more secure fit with these masks. They also are a bit more durable. For a kid that wears the mask day in and day out for several hours a day, these masks are long lasting and very sturdy.
Whatever style or series mask you choose, you really can’t go wrong. These masks offer the ultimate protection at a super affordable price. So, if you’re looking for your next great mask, look no further than the Happy Masks. Their name says it all. Your kids will be happy to wear them!
