Honest Beauty Review
If you have been following our blog for a while, then you know we are all about using clean beauty products. While we do love Beauty Counter, we do know that the price of some of their products can be daunting for some of our teacher friends. That’s why we are also in love with Honest Beauty products. Their mission is to create clean, sustainable products that truly work. That is a mission we can get behind.
So, what do we like?
Moisturizers:
I hate to admit it, but I have aging skin. Once I hit 40, my skin needed a serious boost of moisture. Honest Beauty’s Hydrogel Cream is the answer to combat all my facial dryness. It is a super lightweight moisturizer that leaves my skin looking dewy and fresh…and dare I say, five years younger! Every time I wear the moisturizer I get so many compliments on my skin. Honest Beauty states that their Hydrogel Cream is a “lightweight, moisture-release water cream that refreshes and cools on application as it leaves a dewy finish. Infused with Jojoba + Squalane to help hydrate and soothe thirst, while 2 sizes of Hyaluronic Acid help soften and firm skin (reducing the appearance of fine lines).” It really does live up to the hype.
My second favorite Honest Beauty product is their Calm and Renew Melting Eye Balm. Touted as “A deeply moisturizing eye balm that helps combat the signs of aging + instantly improves the look of lines + wrinkles for a firmer, more youthful-looking eye area,” the company does not lie. I love this product and use it daily to help reduce the signs of fine lines and wrinkles.
Last, I love their Vitamin C Radiance Serum. Made with “Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid + Pearl” The serum leaves your skin looking fresh and luminous. It has this light reflecting pearl color that makes your skin look young and fresh. Just what I need in my daily make-up regimen.
Make-up:
In my opinion, one of the best make-up products that Honest Beauty sells is their Mascara. I have tried a lot of mascara in my life. This one is a great product that is clean and produces some serious lash length. When your twelve-year-old students take notice of your eyelashes, and ask what you are using because they look so long and full, you know you have a winning product. I love that the mascara has a primer that you apply before you add the mascara. Some mascaras can be clumpy and leave my eyelashes looking heavy. This non-toxic product leaves my lashes looking thicker and so much longer.
Next, I just love their Get it Together Eyeshadow Palette. This was the first Honest Beauty product that I bought and used. I have used this specific eyeshadow palette for years, and there is a reason I keep going back to buy the same one. This palette has it all, matte, shimmery, and satin shadows that help you create endless looks.
Another product that helps with my quick morning make-up routine is their Creme Cheek and Lip Color. I love that this product serves two functions. It is an awesome cheek tint, but it also can be used for your lips. It leaves your cheeks and lips looking dewy and fresh.
Last, I just love Honest Beauty’s Magic Beauty Balm Stick. I love this for those spots on my face that start to get dry throughout the day. Just glide this little beauty on your face and your skin is feeling fresh and renewed.
Bottom Line:
If you have not given Honest Beauty products a chance yet, don’t wait! They are a great price for the product that you receive and are truly worth every penny.
