BIPOC Clean Beauty Brands

That we love

The beauty industry is one of the least regulated industries in America. I know, shocker. It is completely legal for companies to use knowingly harmful chemicals or chemicals that have never been evaluated for their safety. So, needless to say, I am all about clean beauty. I only use clean products in my skin care and makeup that are made of clean ingredients and are environmentally conscious. It has been a five year journey for me to learn more about what ingredients are used and what products work as well or even better than the harmful ones I had been using in the past.

Here are some BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) clean beauty brands that I use on the regular. I hope that you like them, too!

Briogeo Haircare I love this company’s haircare products. I especially love their Don’t Despair, Repair! hair care line. Also, during the winter holidays, they make this honey bear mask that is the absolute best. I wish that they made it all year long. They sell Briogeo at Sephora, Ulta, and the Dermstore

Tower 28 Lip Gloss This company makes the best lip glosses. They are long lasting, super shiny, and, best of all, not sticky. It moisturizes like a lip balm, shines like a gloss, and gives an awesome color. It’s quite simply an amazingly clean lipgloss. They sell Tower 28 at Sephora and Credo

Han Skincare Makeup Bronzers Han is a great clean makeup brand. I especially like their eyeshadows and bronzers. I haven’t tried everything from this brand, but if you look at their reviews, they are always 5 stars. They sell Han products at Credo and Ulta.

Alima Pure Makeup The owner used to be a kindergarten teacher! I love Alima pure for their powder foundations and brow liners. They have so many products that I haven’t tried yet, but all of their reviews are 5 stars. They sell Alima Pure at Credo and the Detox Market

Ere Perez Brows This company has a lot of products, but the ones that I have tried are for the brows and eyelashes. Their products are great and bonus, vegan! They sell Ere Perez at Credo, Free People, and Follain.

Ecobrows This brand rivals Anastasia of Every Hills. Ecobrows eye brow products are simply amazing and all natural. I’ve used their defining wax, but I want to try their defining crayon soon. They sell ecobrow at Credo and The Detox Market.

Abhati Suisse Body and Hair Care I’m new to this brand. The first item I tried was their lip treatment, and it is the best one I have ever used! I have my eye on their hair care line, and I will report back after I have given it a whirl!

Honest Beauty I am an OG costumer of the Honest Company. I love most if not all of their products. Their all purpose balm is amazing! I have used Honest skin care from the Gentle Gel Cleaner to their face oil. All amazing. I love their eyeshadow palette. That is the pallet that I reach for more often than not. Their prime and perfect mask has amazon ingredients and works like a charm. Their mascara gives me the longest lashes. Their blushes are great, their lipsticks are great… I think you get the gist.
